Oftentimes we see ads especially on sites that offer some kind of services for free (like this one :D ). These ads, as you know, generates income to keep the server running and the owner motivated.
However, there are some sites that really populate too much ads and it's becoming annoying, so to speak. Fortunately, there are several ways we can avoid these site ads.
I noticed that when I use Internet Explorer to get movies from free file hosting sites (like FlyUpload), I get these tons of ads popping up everywhere on my screen - really obtrusive, really annoying!
BUT NOT WHEN I USE FIREFOX. Firefox has plugins to make those pop up ads disappear.
- Adblock Plus
Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.
- Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper 1.0.2
Fight the text ads! Element Hiding Helper is a companion extension for Adblock Plus meant to make creating element hiding rules easier.
- BlockSite 0.6
BlockSite is an extension, which automagically blocks websites of your choice. Additionally, this extension will disable all hyperlinks to these websites, by just displaying the link text without the clicking functionality. This extension should by no means be used for parental control or access control purposes, just because it isn't secure and can easily be disabled or even removed. This extension adds the site blocking functionality that was removed from Adblock Plus.
